Thai Prime Minister Anutin is scheduled to have a two-day visit to Indonesia. He and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto are expected to tighten cooperation on several areas such as security, transnational crime, trade and investment, food and energy security, and people-to-people relations.

Indonesia financial stability board meeting

Indonesia's Financial System Stability Committee will announce the outcome of its quarterly meeting on Monday. The meeting was the committee's first since Bank Indonesia Gov. Perry Warjiyo resigned last week and also marked the first participation of sovereign wealth fund Danantara in the government's financial stability coordination framework. Markets will be watching the committee's assessment of the rupiah, inflation, capital flows and the coordination between fiscal and monetary authorities.

It's a big week for Japan's auto industry, starting with Nissan Motor and Mitsubishi Motors reporting earnings for the April-June quarter on Monday. Toyota Motor and Mazda Motor will follow on Tuesday, while Honda Motor and Suzuki Motor are scheduled to announce results on Wednesday. With the industry facing intensifying competition driven by the rise of emerging players, as well as geopolitical risks including U.S. tariff policies and conflict in the Middle East, investors will be closely watching each company's outlook and strategy.

Taiwan kicks off its Han Kuang defense drills, the island democracy's biggest test of its readiness to confront a possible attack by China. Held over 10 days, the exercises will simulate scenarios such as Chinese forces using their own drills as cover for launching an assault on Taiwan, which Beijing considers its territory. This year's edition will include tests of Taiwan's capabilities to relocate and maintain production of defense equipment in a crisis.

India's Manipal Health Enterprises is set to list on the country's main bourses on Wednesday, after an initial public offering worth 92.75 billion rupees ($968.7 million). The private hospital chain, which has about 50 hospitals, is among India's largest and has grown itself significantly in the last few years through a string of acquisitions, with significant backing from private equity. The listing is India's second-largest IPO this year, as the primary market revs up after a muted first half due to the U.S.-Iran conflict.

Myanmar leader Min Aung Hlaing is scheduled to visit Thailand. The Myanmar leader is set to meet Anutin to seek ways to tackle pollution in the Kok River, a tributary of the Mekong that runs 285 kilometers through Myanmar and northern cities in Thailand. The two leaders are also expected to discuss cross-border trade and regional security issues.
