The XRP Ledger recorded 11,432 new accounts on September 24, more than three times its 30-day average of about 2,700â3,000. The spike came as XRP rose from $1.40 to $1.60, alongside higher whale activity and institutional positioning. However, new account creation does not confirm new users, as exchange funding, custody migrations and other activity can produce similar spikes. Upcoming XRPL upgrades, including Batch V1.1 and PermissionDelegationV1_1, could also be contributing to the increase.
